With the extension of the Governments road map out of lockdown, it is vital to us that we support organisations and businesses showcase their access provisions for disabled people
The Accessible Guide was founded by and is managed by disabled people. The platform we are developing is funded by the National Lottery Community Fund and we are working with our I.T partners Cyberfrog Design, that will allow us to launch a visually stunning, user-friendly, dynamic, and purposeful website that will create opportunities for inclusion by enabling users to search for venues, services and activities that meet their individual access requirements.
Our initial plan was to launch our website during the summer of 2020, with the lockdown restrictions that were introduced in March 2020, it made it incredibly difficult for us to gather the appropriate data, including images, that would create the content for The Accessible Guide.
We will begin the process of uploading content to our website in the coming weeks and we currently have less than 10% of complete listings information.
If your business caters for disabled people and you’re based in the Liverpool City Region or Chester, then we want to hear from you. Listings will be free on The Accessible Guide, and we will showcase a wide variety of businesses and organisations, to help create real opportunities for inclusion.
Being listed on our website will expose your business to disabled people and their family and friends. For details on how to make sure your organisation is included on The Accessible Guide, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
