02/2021 Company Update

We may be just ten days into the second and shortest month of the year, but 2021 is starting to feel like Groundhog Day, For many businesses, the past twelve months have provided a lot of uncertainty, and for our Company, this has definitely been the case. The pandemic has halted the progress of our new website to an extent that we are unable to predict a new launch date.

When we were awarded funding from The National Lottery Community Fund, during the summer of 2019, we anticipated that we would launch our platform in the summer of 2020. We have been working with Cyberfrog Design, who have been entrusted to build our website and we signed off on the final designs in October 2019. Our next task was then to collect all the data and images we needed to build the content, something we knew would not be an easy process. We were making steady progress in the early months of 2020, then the lockdown measures were introduced, and the impact these have had have been significant. What we knew would be an arduous task, suddenly became an impossible one. As it became virtually impossible for us to obtain the crucial information required as the majority of listings were closed. This is the situation we are facing right now, but we are determined to launch our platform as soon as we possibly can.

Our Company was founded by, and is managed by disabled people and our website has been designed by disabled people to create opportunities for inclusion. If you run a business or provide a service that caters for disabled people, and you're based in the Liverpool City Region or in Chester, then please make sure you contact us to receive a free listing on The Accessible Guide.

We look forward to providing more updates in the coming months. If you have any questions about The Accessible Guide, then please don't hesitate to contact us at info@theaccessibleguide.com.
